RustyCon 16  (Jan 15-17, 1999).

Prestige awards for storytelling are based on the recommendations of the  RustyCon ST Staff and the review of the RST's Office.

The RST's Office noted that little of apparent region- wide significance  occured IC; however, the number of members attending sanctioned gaming, the wide  area from which they came, and the generally positive reactions of those who  participated indicate that the prestige awards should be at least in part  regional prestige.

Also, the organizational aspects (preparation and behind-the-scenes) are  fully worthy of regional prestige. The prestige awards for storytelling are made  with the full concurrance of the RST's Office.

Prestige awards for non-storytelling activities are based on a sliding scale.  The normal cap for the convention service category is 25/month; the cap has been  extended for some people who have given exceptional service to RustyCon, but in  no case to exceed 50 prestige. --up to 5 hours volunteer time total: 5 prestige  per hour --over 5 to 10 hours total: 1 prestige per hour --over 10 hours to 15  hours total: 2 prestige per hour --over 15 hours to 20 hours total: 3 prestige  per hour --over 20 hours to 25 hours total: 4 prestige per hour --over 25 hours  to 30 hours total: 5 prestige per hour

The first 25 points are automatically regional. The next 25 points are open.  If there are any points over 50 in the convention service category, the excess  over 50 are how many of the open points are converted to regional. (Example: 63  points total. 25 automatically regional, 25 more open, leaving 13 over 50. 13 of  the open points become regional. Net total 38 regional 12 open.)

There are some awards for pre-event assistance; these do not count against  the monthly caps, since they are awards for activities well in advance of  RustyCon. There are a few people who donated badly needed supplies to the ST and  Coordinator Staffs; these awards have been noted appropriately below.

Also, Julia Stone has been awarded an additional prestige award under the  category of Public Relations-she worked her butt off for hours and hours every  day to fill slots that needed volunteer bodies, snatching not only Cam members  but people from other clubs as well.

Her sterling efforts have built up a priceless reputation for herself and for  the Cam.

All awards are for the month of January 1999
