Answers to Frequently Asked Questions about ICC 2001 XP AwardsXP is not available for soft roleplay or soft roleplay sessions. If you played more than one character during the same session, you may split the award and give 1 XP each to two of the PCs. Optionally, you may give one PC the entire 2 XP award and the other PCs nothing. If you played an NPC for an entire session, you may take the 2 XP award and give it to any of your other active PCs. An active PC is defined as one played in any game within the last 30 days. If you played an NPC and you played your PC during the the same session, you should give the 2 XP award to your PC. It is important to note that the Storyteller Hierarchy feels that playing an NPC at your local game is deserving of either XP or prestige, but not both. However, due to the nature of ICC, the need for NPCs is heightened and players give up a lot to assist. Because of this, the award consists of both prestige and XP. Good Roleplaying AwardsThe following PCs have been recommended by their peers and Storytellers for Good Roleplaying awards. A +1 means the character automatically earns their current XP cap "plus one" for the month of October. A +2 means the character automatically earns their current XP cap "plus two" for the month of October. This XP award includes the approval for the raised cap. The XP cap is based on the PC's total earned XP. Please see the chart in the U.S. Rules Addendum. For example, Peter Player was awarded a +1 XP award for his PC Busta-Wyrm in the Garou venue. At the beginning of October, Busta had earned 120 XP. According to the chart, that makes his cap 5. He has now earned 6 XP for the month of October. Players from countries outside North America should consult with their NSTs regarding these awards. A "Good Death" XP reward is defined as 6 XP to go to the player's next new PC. The PC should be created in the same venue as the PC who was killed. The reward should be noted on the XP log of the new character as "ICC 2001 Good Death Reward". "Renown Over Cap"
is defined as the ability to earn a second renown for the month of October. The
renown must still be earned in-character, but the approval to have it has been
granted. Players of storytellers who witnessed or heard of additional renown
worthy events at ICC are encouraged to apply up the Storyteller chain.
