SECURITY & INSURANCE

The GDLN takes top priority in securing the more non-masquerade safe artifacts and pieces through methods that are extreme. Items are locked in air tight boxes, codes, eye sensors, and unimaginable technology to separate the subtle from the damaging. Pieces that are stored in host Galeries fall under the protection and full insurance of the owner, if at any time a piece is lost, destroyed, or stolen the owner of the host Galerie is held entirely responsible.

STORYTELLER NOTES

The Galerie de La Nuit is to add to the social atmosphere of the game. The intention is to provide Materials, Global Interaction, and to encourage culture and the arts within the world of darkness. PC's are able to gain fame, resources, needed materials, education justifications, and items for events through this company to improve the quality of the game.

Most artwork from the Galerie is at the free will and imagination of the Storytellers wishing to utilize this company. As this company is also PC driven there are items in the Galerie that are literally real pieces of actual art as well as written item cards. We encourage the performers of the Galerie to actually physically perform if they are realistically able to perform in real-life to encourage the theatrical side of the Club.

This company is in no way antagonistic to venues, although due to the nature of being a PC driven company on the player level the interaction of local PC's will vary (as they should).

CROSS-VENUE

The ST chain does not look favorably on extended IC interactions as a result of the Gallery, please take care to keep interactions to a minimal to fall into the paradigm of cross-venue expectations.

It is entirely possible for host galleries in the network to accept artwork from all venues which in return exposes the Galerie de La Nuit's existence throughout the chronicle.

We neither encourage or reject cross-venue interactions via the GDLN.

For further information please send an email (notating IC or OOC in the subject) to admin@galeriedelanuit.com, girc.requiem@gmail.com. Storytellers should contact these addresses before incorporating aspects of Galerie de La Nuit into local domain play.

Gambara Internationale Ltd

Gambara Internationale Ltd is an Italian corporation with a focus on fashion and textiles. It has major offices in Venice and New York City. The company has existed in one for or another for several centuries, with its origins in Venice.

While Gambara Internationale has some interests in shipping, finance and political lobbying, its majority income and direction comes from its largest subsidiary company, Gambara Fashion Ltd. Gambara Fashion Ltd is the only aspect of Gambara Internationale that has extended its business outside Italy. It has had a corporate presence in the United States since 2000.

Gambara Fashion Ltd is based in Venice, where the majority of its design teams and all of its production capacity are based. Gambara Fashion Ltd is a High Fashion company. The precepts of the fashion created revolve around the Italian approach to Fashion, not the French mentality. Italians favor design, art, and beauty in their designs, and the companies are run in a more parochial (familial) structure; whereas the French have devolved into mega corporations that care more for the bottom line.

Real world equivalents of Gambara design styles might include Chanel, Jean Paul Gautlier, Versace, and Dolce & Gabana.

Gambara Internationale Ltd's company colors are green and silver, and the logo involves a crown and the letter G.

Jonathan is tasked with ensuring that the image, perception and global consciousness of Gambara Internationale remains in stride and step with the times and period. His role covers Marketing & Advertising.

History and Background

What became Gambara Internationale Ltd started in the late Renaissance period in Venice, Italy. The first Lorenzo Gambara was born to a very wealthy and long standing family that dealt with the shipping of all manner of textiles, furs, and other fabrics. Furs from Russia, cotton from Egypt, Silk from India. Initially merely a merchant, Lorenzo saw the opportunity of using the connections already in place in the import/export industry and applying them to manufacture as well. That led to the evolution Gambara Internationale Ltd into its current corporate form.

Part of what has made Gambara a success for three consecutive centuries is a dedication to the human form. The family’s descendants still run the company, though many aspects of financial administration are cared for by the Gambara Trust, an independent entity. Their lead designer is another Lorenzo Gambara, who is noted for his wider approach to design for varying body types. Lorenzo mocks size zeros for their lack of "hips and bosom" referring to them as "wasted away school boys".

This is not to say that Gambara favors "overweight" models but rather favors women who are fit with trim but obviously feminine physiques. Males models used by Gambara similarly are trim and fit, eschewing the sickly thin boys featured by major French houses.

Typically, the Couture branch of the business sets up appointments with either model or client before a fitting is even first established. This appointment typically takes place over drinks, over tennis, or some other activity that the client/model is comfortable with, in a setting that is relaxing to them. The designer or attaché assigned spends time talking to the model/client getting a feeling for the personality of the person before ever showing them a single color swatch. The designer/attaché takes careful notes on figure, eyes, skin, and other relevant features, which would be best maximized and which would be best minimized.

Once this first "interview" is completed, the designer/attaché goes back and forms the "party". Parties consist of a total of three people, including the designer, the stylist who takes care of make-up/hair, and an attaché who pulls the whole project together and keeps the business side of the artistic collaboration on an even keel.

The party works over the notes and creates samples and ideas and begins to form a collaborative vision of the model/client in what would make them "Art in Motion". Once more cohesive ideas are formed up, the client/model is brought in to view samples in "look books". This is where they are brought in with their opinions and ideas to flesh out the final "arrangement".

Storytelling Notes

Gambara Internationale Ltd and its subsidiary companies are fictional entities within the Camarilla’s chronicle. They are a medium sized but well regarded fashion house.

PCs in any venue may attempt to develop influences and allies within Gambara Internationale or Gambara Fashion at Global approval. Locally based influences and allies without a wider ability to influence corporate policy (e.g. an Ally who works at the flagship store in New York, or a designer in Venice) require only Low Approval from the relevant local ST.

While PCs may gain influence within the corporation, it must continue to run as a going concern, i.e. influence will not allow significant changes of direction or business practices that would be unusual enough to be of obvious notice to the outside world. The corporation is subject to the same business oversight by mortal authorities as any other company.

Trident Courier & Shipping

Summary:

Trident Courier and Shipping (TCS) provides high-end services to select clientele. When a package absolutely must be there as soon as possible, and you have a corporate expense account, TCS is the way to go.

History:

Founded in 2000 as a small, local shipping and delivery company in Japan, Trident Shipping has recently expanded to offer International courier, shipping, and storage services. TCS has made a reputation for itself by offering Super Express Courier Services to select cities around the globe. TCS's rapid growth reflects the globalization of trade. As its customers expand into international markets, TCS is there to meet their needs. Today, TCS is the world's fastest international air express network with service to destinations anywhere on the globe. TCS maintains its position as the world's fastest international air express network by continually expanding and upgrading its network of offices, hubs and gateways, and by offering superior service through a well-trained and dedicated work force.

An extensive network of offices support TCS's worldwide coverage. TCS also has dedicated customs personnel in nearly every country where it operates to assist with customer shipments. These advantages result in the fastest transit times, streamlined customs clearance, effective tracking of shipments and simplified billing. TCS operates an unmatched global system of gateways, hubs, warehouses and terminals.

This allows for the rapid and efficient movement of shipments, resulting in fast, and reliable service to corporate customers worldwide. A fleet of jets and helicopters operate for or on behalf of TCS, giving TCS the flexibility to use the fastest possible means of transportation to any given destination. As important as these facilities and equipment are to supporting TCS's global network, it is the worldwide team of professionals whose commitment to anticipating, understanding and meeting each customer's unique shipping needs that makes TCS the fastest service in the industry.

Services:

TCS is employed to deliver messages, packages and mail. It is distinguished from ordinary mail services by features such as speed, security, tracking, signature, specialization and individualization of services, and committed delivery times. TCS offers different courier services on all scales, from within specific towns or cities, to regional, national and global services, typically via a hub and spoke model, although super-express service offers point A to Point B service. As a premium service, this super-express courier service is more expensive than usual mail services, and its use is typically restricted to packages where one or more of these features are considered important enough to warrant the cost.

TCS is well known for its ability to offer shipping service worldwide, including to countries such as Iraq and Myanmar. As it is Japan-owned, TCS is not affected by U.S. embargoes or sanctions and will ship to countries such as Cuba or North Korea. Of course, the nature of this service requires a varying number of couriers on any given day and time of day to complete a set service.

Experts in this method of network delivery, TCS maintains hundreds of standby couriers in a "ready to move" status as devised by Mark Kent, professor of Logistics at the University of Ghent. TCS makes use of on-board couriers, who can travel at a moments notice anywhere in the world, usually via commercial airlines. When a delivery must be made as quickly as possible, TCS utilizes its private aviation fleet. This results in the fastest, albeit more expensive, delivery times. Clients analyze the cost of service to engage a super-express courier versus the "cost" the company will realize should the product not arrive by a specified time (i.e. an assembly line stopping, untimely court filing, lost sales from product or components missing a delivery deadline, organ transplants, biological specimens).

Layout:

Each Trident facility has a well manicured corporate exterior. The offices have a certain minimalist elegance. Upon entering, clients are greeted by a plain but friendly receptionist. Clients are then escorted through The Hallway to a private waiting lounge by a company rep, who then determines which services will best meet their needs.

On the grounds of each facility there is an assortment of secure business storage solutions. These are mostly rented for hardcopy archiving of corporate records. At the heart of the facility lies "The Hallway". This hall is lined with doors to the private waiting areas. The hallway itself is dimly lit by LED lights running along the floor and ceiling. These lights project soothing colors, which slowly change, onto the walls.

Security:

Each facility has a manned security gate, and is surrounded by a security fence. All doors require at least a key and security card. Some doors are buzz-in, some require pin numbers and biometrics. Being a high-end facility, there are manned doors, rovers inside and out, and other less obvious security measures.
